In Age of Steam Tower Defence, you command a line of clockwork-era fortifications against waves of hostile units determined to breach your HQ. Place and combine a variety of distinct towers ranging from classic artillery to experimental energy weapons, each with clear strengths, trade-offs, and optimal placements. Every decision matters: funnel enemies through chokepoints, cover long lanes with precision weapons, and reserve splash damage for clustered formations. Start from a quiet map, press Play, and watch as each wave escalates the tension and tests your strategy.
Choose from multiple handcrafted maps: arid canyons, river crossings, and mountainous passes, each emphasizing different tactics. Save your favorite setups and experiment with new layouts to perfect your approach. How to play
- Open the game in your browser and wait for assets to finish loading, then press Play.
- Pick a map via the Map button if you want a different battlefield; you can also save/load setups.
- Build your defenses from the sidebar; place towers to cover lanes and chokepoints.
- Start the next wave with the Wave button; earn funds by surviving and expand your defenses.
- Protect your HQ: If its HP hits zero, the war is lost.
